The Hematopathology Fellowship at UAB Heersink School of Medicine is a one-year advanced training program covering major areas of Hematopathology, including hematologic malignancies, bone marrow and lymph node pathology, morphology, flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, coagulation, pediatric Hematopathology, and diagnostic molecular pathology. Fellows gain extensive experience in evaluating complex hematologic disorders and consultation cases, while participating in multidisciplinary hematology and oncology conferences. The program also provides opportunities for resident teaching, clinical research, and presentation of scholarly work at national meetings.
