Fellowship in Hematopathology

1. Must be board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology (AP), Clinical Pathology (CP), or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
2. Must have completed the required pathology residency training before beginning the fellowship.
3. Must meet Cedars-Sinai Graduate Medical Education fellowship eligibility requirements.
4. Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada must have a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification or appropriate United States medical licensure.
5. California medical licensure is required at the time of appointment.
6. Applicants must satisfy Cedars-Sinai's other appointment and credentialing requirements.

The Hematopathology Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides advanced subspecialty training in the diagnosis and classification of diseases involving the hematopoietic and lymphoid systems. The fellowship provides exposure to hematopathology cases and diagnostic laboratory methods, with opportunities to develop expertise in the evaluation of blood, bone marrow, lymph node and related specimens. Fellows also participate in multidisciplinary clinical activities, teaching and research as part of their advanced pathology training.

1. Complete the Cedars-Sinai Pathology Fellowship Application Form and select Hematopathology as the fellowship type.
2. Submit a current Curriculum Vitae (CV).
3. Submit a statement of interest in hematopathology.
4. Submit three letters of reference, including one from the chair or residency program director.
5. Submit United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Steps 1, 2 and 3 scores.
6. Submit medical school transcripts and a copy of the medical school diploma.
7. Submit an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate, if applicable.
8. Provide a California medical license, if available.
9. Submit a photograph, if available.
10. Eligible applicants are considered for an interview and selection. Before final appointment, Cedars-Sinai requires verification of medical education and prior training, applicable California licensure, background-check completion, and appropriate visa/work authorization.
