The Global Mental Health Fellowship is a 1-year, non-ACGME accredited fellowship designed to train psychiatrists as leaders in clinical practice, public health, capacity building, education, and research focused on mental health in low-resource settings worldwide and among immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking populations in the United States. Fellows gain experience in culturally appropriate mental health care, interdisciplinary collaboration, global mental health research, implementation science, community-based care, and teaching while working in outpatient clinics and international research settings. The fellowship prepares physicians for leadership roles in global mental health, academic psychiatry, and public health.
