Post Doctoral Fellowship in Women's Mental Health

• Must possess an MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed an ACGME-accredited General Psychiatry Residency Program.
• Fellowship is intended for PGY-4 psychiatry residents.
• Must meet UIC Graduate Medical Education (GME) appointment requirements.
• International Medical Graduates (IMGs) must meet applicable certification and visa requirements.

The Women's Mental Health Fellowship is a 1-year, non-ACGME clinical fellowship (PGY-4 specialization) designed to provide advanced training in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders related to the female reproductive life cycle and gender-specific mental health issues. Fellows gain expertise in managing premenstrual disorders, pregnancy and postpartum mental illness, perimenopausal mood disorders, eating disorders, trauma, parenting-related mental health issues, and gender-related psychiatric conditions. The program includes supervised clinical training, didactic seminars, research or scholarly activities, and interdisciplinary collaboration, preparing graduates for leadership roles in women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry.
