The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging Fellowship at UC Irvine is a one-year advanced radiology program that offers comprehensive training in imaging of the heart, lungs, and chest using multiple modalities such as radiography, CT, CT angiography (CTA), MRI, and MR angiography (MRA); the fellowship provides in-depth exposure to advanced cardiovascular techniques including coronary CTA, pulmonary vein mapping, TAVR and structural heart procedure planning, and “triple rule-out” studies, while also covering all aspects of thoracic imaging such as oncologic imaging and high-resolution CT (HRCT) for lung diseases, enabling fellows to develop strong diagnostic expertise through high-volume clinical experience, multidisciplinary collaboration, and hands-on learning in both cardiovascular and chest imaging practices
