Fellowship in Advanced Nephrology-Research

The Fellowship in Advanced Nephrology – Research provides advanced training in basic, clinical, and translational nephrology research. The first year focuses on clinical nephrology, while the second and third years are dedicated to research training supported in part by an NIH T32 Training Grant. Fellows receive individualized mentorship, participate in weekly research conferences, monthly seminars and journal clubs, and present their work at ASN Kidney Week. The program also offers opportunities to pursue additional qualifications such as an MPH, Master of Clinical Investigation, or PhD.

1. Apply to the Nephrology Fellowship Program through ERAS
2. Complete the required application and submit supporting documents
3. Indicate interest in the Advanced Nephrology – Research Track
4. Participate in the program's interview and selection process
5. During the first year, fellows receive clinical nephrology training and use 4 weeks of elective time to meet potential research mentors
6. Fellows selected for the research track undertake basic, clinical, or translational research during the second and third years
7. The second and third years are supported in part through the NIH T32 Training Grant
