The Combined Adult & Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship is a four-year dual fellowship providing comprehensive clinical and research training in kidney disease across both adult and pediatric populations. Years 1 and 2 include six months of adult and six months of pediatric clinical training each year, along with continuity clinics for both patient groups. Years 3 and 4 focus primarily on basic, translational, or clinical research, with approximately 20–25% clinical care. Fellows receive individualized mentorship and train across Children’s Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health Medical Center, and the VA Medical Center. Completion fulfills ACGME requirements for both adult and pediatric nephrology, making fellows eligible to sit for both subspecialty board examinations, subject to ABIM and ABP requirements.
