Fellowship in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (FACHD)

The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine, San Francisco is a 2-year ACGME-accredited advanced training program designed to provide Level III subspecialty expertise in the care of adults with congenital heart disease. The fellowship offers comprehensive clinical exposure in the diagnosis, lifelong management, and advanced treatment of complex congenital cardiac conditions, integrating outpatient and inpatient care, cardiac imaging, and multidisciplinary collaboration with cardiac surgery, electrophysiology, and heart failure teams. Training is conducted in a high-volume, specialized cardiovascular setting, allowing fellows to manage complex cases while developing procedural and decision-making skills. The program also emphasizes research, academic development, and teaching, preparing graduates for leadership roles in academic cardiology and specialized ACHD centers.
