Fellowship in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (FACHD)

• Must have MD/DO or equivalent medical degree
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency (USA)
• Completion of Cardiovascular Disease (Cardiology) fellowship or equivalent training
• Candidates with Pediatric Cardiology training are also eligible
• Must be board eligible or board certified in cardiology
• For international applicants: ECFMG certification required
• From non-ACGME pathway: minimum 3 years of cardiovascular disease training required
• Must be eligible for J-1 visa (only visa sponsored)
• Must be eligible for Maryland medical license
• Strong academic background with interest in adult congenital heart disease
• Research experience required (mandatory research component in program)

The Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a two-year, advanced subspecialty training program designed for physicians who have completed adult or pediatric cardiology training. The program provides comprehensive exposure to the diagnosis and management of congenital heart diseases in adults, including complex cardiac conditions requiring lifelong care.
