Fellowship in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology

1. MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
2. Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency.
3. Meet applicable ABMS/ABA board eligibility requirements.
4. International Medical Graduates must meet ECFMG certification requirements.
5. Must satisfy California medical licensure requirements.
6. Must meet Cedars-Sinai institutional GME eligibility requirements.
7. Submit required application documents, including CV and letters of recommendation.

The Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a 1-year advanced fellowship designed to provide specialized training in the anesthetic and perioperative management of adult patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures. The program provides experience in advanced cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac and thoracic anesthesia, perioperative echocardiography, hemodynamic management, and critical care, with exposure to complex cardiothoracic surgical cases and multidisciplinary patient care.

1. Complete Anesthesiology residency.
2. Prepare the required fellowship application and supporting documents.
3. Submit the application through the designated fellowship application system.
4. Application is reviewed by the fellowship selection committee.
5. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview.
6. Selected candidates complete credentialing, licensing, background-check and other GME requirements.
7. Begin the 1-year Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship.
