The Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship with four positions. The program provides advanced training in cardiothoracic anesthesia, including intraoperative echocardiography and advanced perioperative TEE, cardiac and major vascular procedures, thoracic and interventional cardiology procedures, minimally invasive valve procedures, adult congenital heart disease, circulatory assist devices, heart and lung transplantation, and endovascular procedures. Fellows receive supervised hands-on experience as primary providers and participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality improvement, scholarly activities, and faculty teaching. The program is designed to prepare fellows for certification in Advanced Perioperative TEE and independent cardiothoracic anesthesia practice.
