Fellowship in Administrative

1. Hold a bachelor’s degree, or be in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution
2. Degree should be in Business Administration, Finance, Communication, or a related field
3. Demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
4. Have a strong interest in administrative leadership within academic medicine
5. Must reside in California and be able to work in the office

The Administrative Fellowship at UCSF Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery is a summer, approximately four-month administrative training program designed to provide practical exposure to leadership and administration within academic medicine. The fellow works with the department’s leadership and clinical teams, gaining experience in areas such as communications, finance, and research. The program includes opportunities to visit clinics, interact with clinical teams, learn about academic medicine operations, and complete a final project in communications, finance, or research. The fellowship accepts one fellow per year and is intended to develop practical administrative, analytical, communication, and leadership skills in an academic healthcare environment.
