Fellowship Course in Cytopathology

1. Applicants should be board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology (AP), Clinical Pathology (CP), or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
2. Applicants must meet Cedars-Sinai Graduate Medical Education eligibility requirements.
3. Applicants must be eligible for California medical licensure at the time of appointment.
4. International medical graduates must meet applicable Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) requirements.
5. Applicants must satisfy Cedars-Sinai's required medical education, postgraduate training, documentation, and credentialing requirements.

The Cytopathology Fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides advanced training in the diagnosis and evaluation of disease through the examination of cytologic specimens. Fellows gain experience in the interpretation of a broad range of cytopathology cases and develop skills in both conventional and modern cytologic diagnostic techniques. The fellowship provides exposure to clinical laboratory operations and collaboration with clinicians in the diagnosis and management of patients. Fellows also have opportunities to participate in research and academic activities within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The program is designed to prepare physicians for independent practice and further subspecialty development in cytopathology.

1. Complete the Cedars-Sinai Pathology Fellowship Application Form.
2. Submit a current curriculum vitae.
3. Submit a statement describing your interest in Cytopathology.
4. Submit three letters of recommendation, with one preferably from the chair or residency program director.
5. Submit United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Steps 1, 2 and 3 scores.
6. Submit medical school transcripts and a copy of the medical school diploma.
7. International medical graduates should submit an Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate, if applicable.
8. Submit a California medical license, if available, and photograph, if available.
9. Complete the program's interview and selection process and satisfy final Cedars-Sinai credentialing and appointment requirements.
