Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Anaesthesiology

Overview

Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur is a government medical college with strong postgraduate training across clinical specialities. The Department of Anaesthesiology provides training in multiple facets of anaesthesia: pre-operative assessment, general and regional anaesthesia, pain management, critical care (including ventilator management), and emergency resuscitation. Students get exposure in operation theatres for different surgical specialties, obstetric anaesthesia, pediatric anaesthesia, and trauma care. There are also academic activities like seminars, case discussions, research thesis for PG students. The college has adequate infrastructure and patient load to provide hands-on clinical experience. The program aims to produce competent anesthesiologists who can work in clinical, academic, and critical care settings.

Eligibility

• MBBS degree from a college recognised by NMC. 
• Completion of required internship. 
• Valid registration (permanent or provisional) with NMC / State Medical Council. 
• Must qualify NEET-PG entrance exam and meet the cutoff / percentile for the category.
