The USC/Los Angeles General Medical Center Dermatology Residency Program is a three-year ACGME-accredited residency providing comprehensive training in general, medical, surgical, pediatric and complex dermatology. Residents progressively develop clinical and procedural skills, beginning with foundational dermatology and basic procedures such as biopsies and simple excisions, and advancing to complex repairs, flaps, grafts, Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatopathology and complex medical dermatology. Training includes exposure to immunobullous disease, pediatric dermatology, contact dermatitis, HIV dermatology, tropical medicine, Hansen’s disease, phototherapy, cutaneous oncology and aesthetic dermatology. Residents train across five clinical sites—Los Angeles General Medical Center, Keck Hospital/affiliated clinics, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the VA—and participate in lectures, Grand Rounds, dermatopathology sign-outs, teaching and research activities
