The Combined Anatomic Pathology / Clinical Pathology Residency Program (AP/CP) at UCSF is a four-year residency program that provides comprehensive training in both anatomic pathology and clinical pathology. Residents develop expertise in the diagnosis of disease through surgical pathology, cytopathology, autopsy pathology, hematopathology, microbiology, immunology, transfusion medicine, chemistry, and molecular pathology. The program combines hands-on laboratory and diagnostic experience with structured teaching, multidisciplinary collaboration, research opportunities, and preparation for independent practice or academic careers.
