Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

A Candidate seeking admission to first-year BPT:

• Candidate Should have passed two years Pre University examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually also.
• Candidates who have completed Pre-university courses with Vocational Physiotherapy as their optional subject are eligible for admission to the BPT course.
• A candidate should have completed 17 years of age, as on 31 st December of the year of admission.

Students will be trained in core skills like bio mechanics, exercise therapy and electrotherapy methods. By the end of the course students will be concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habitation and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being.
