Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

• The Candidate should have passed 2 years of Pre-University Examination or 12th Examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State or any equivalent examing authority with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
• The Candidate should have passed examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate examination established by State Government/Central Government and recognized as equivalent to a 2-year Pre-University Examination by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/Association of Indian Universities (AIU). He / She shall have passed with subjects such Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
• Candidates who have completed Pre-University course with Vocational Physiotherapy as their optional subjects are eligible for admission to BPT course.

A Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, also known as a Bachelor Physiotherapy (BPT) is an undergraduate program that prepares students to become licensed Physiotherapists. The coursework includes a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience. Students will learn about the human body, including anatomy and physiology, as well as the principles of physical therapy and rehabilitation. They will also learn about the different techniques used in physiotherapy, such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and the use of assistive devices. Additionally, the program includes supervised clinical experience in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world situations. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the licensure exam and practice as a physiotherapist.
