Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

A Candidate seeking admission to first year Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT):

• Should have passed two year Pre University examination with minimum 50% conducted by Department of Pre-University Education and subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. OR Shall have passed any other examination conducted by Boards / Councils / Intermediate examination established by State Government / Central Government and recognized as equivalent to a two year Pre University Examination

A candidate seeking admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy course should have completed 17 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission. Every candidate before admission to the course shall furnish to Principal of the Institution a certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Government Medical Officer to the effect, that the candidate is physically fit to undergo Physiotherapy course.

• The course revolves around the science of physical movement aimed at preventing disease and disability. The students of the physiotherapy will be trained on various techniques such as exercises, massage and other modalities for providing treatment to those patients whose movement and function are weak after accidents, aging, sports injury, work stress etc.
• The course will cover a wide range of topics such as Human Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Biomechanics etc and many more. The course teaches the students the advanced level about the core physiotherapeutic skills such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and application of electro-physical modalities.
