Bachelor of Optometry

Overview

The Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) program at JAIN University blends rigorous foundational coursework with practical, clinical training. Starting with fundamentals like ocular anatomy, physiology, optics, and biochemistry, the curriculum progresses into applied optometry—including binocular vision, low vision care, contact lens technology, ocular disease diagnosis, and pharmacology. The inclusion of diagnostic techniques such as slit-lamp biomicroscopy and retinoscopy prepares students for real-world clinical environments. The program is enhanced by a full year of on-job training, enabling students to refine clinical skills and patient care expertise, positioning them for diverse roles in optometry and vision care.
 

Eligibility

10+2 (PCB + English) with at least 50% marks, or IB with ≥24 credits.
