Bachelor of Optometry

The Bachelor of Clinical Optometry is a four-year full-time programme aimed at developing skilled primary eye care professionals. The first three years cover core sciences (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry), optics (geometric, visual, dispensing) and clinical skills (refraction, contact lenses, low vision, binocular vision). The final year is fully dedicated to clinical training at affiliated eye clinics and community vision camps, preparing students to conduct eye exams, prescribe corrective aids, detect pathologies, and manage referral care. The program emphasizes public health optometry with real-world eye screening exposure

Passed 10+2 with required subjects and minimum aggregate

Lateral entry into year 3 available for diploma holders in optometry (minimum 19 yrs old)
