Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency Program

The Robert B. Rutherford Integrated Residency in Vascular Surgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a 5-year, 0+5 ACGME/RRC-accredited residency designed to provide comprehensive training in vascular and endovascular surgery and patient care. Residents gain hands-on experience in the diagnosis, preoperative evaluation, operative management and postoperative care of patients with vascular diseases. Training is conducted across University Hospital, the Veterans Administration and community hospital settings, with senior residents also developing teaching skills and participating in academic conferences and presentations.

1. Applications are reviewed through a holistic committee process
2. For the academic year beginning June 23, 2027, the program will participate in the Military Match
3. Candidates for the 2027 entry cycle must apply through the appropriate military graduate medical education application process, following their respective service branch requirements and timelines
4. The program anticipates returning to the NRMP Match for the subsequent application cycle
5. Applicants must submit the required application documents: 3 recommendation letters, Dean’s Letter, CV, USMLE Step 1 & 2 scores, and personal statement
