Urology Residency Program

1. Must hold a medical degree from an accredited medical school before starting residency training.
2. Graduates of medical schools in the United States or Canada must meet Cedars-Sinai's applicable institutional eligibility requirements.
3. Graduates of international medical schools must have graduated from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and meet the applicable Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) requirements.
4. Must satisfy any additional eligibility requirements established by the Urology Residency Program and applicable accreditation requirements.
5. Applicants are selected based on residency-related criteria including academic credentials, preparedness, aptitude, communication skills, motivation, and integrity.

The Urology Residency Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides comprehensive postgraduate training in the diagnosis and surgical management of urologic conditions. Residents receive progressive clinical and operative experience across areas such as urologic oncology, endourology, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, pediatric urology, female urology, urinary reconstruction, infertility, and men's health. The program combines hands-on surgical training, outpatient clinical care, resident clinics, multidisciplinary conferences, tumor boards, journal clubs, and research opportunities. Residents gradually assume greater responsibility throughout the five-year program while developing the clinical, surgical, and professional skills required for independent urologic practice.

1. Submit the required residency application through the designated application system.
2. Provide the required academic records and supporting application documents.
3. Eligible applications are reviewed by the Urology Residency Program.
4. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview.
5. Complete the interview and selection process if invited.
6. Final selection is conducted through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) or another applicable national organized matching program.
