About
The School of Chemical Sciences established in 1972, is one of the leading schools of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and has played a pivotal role in research and teaching chemistry. The school was founded with the dedicated effort of Late Professor W.V Bhagwat. The School of Chemical Sciences is one of the premier institutions in central India as one of the leading and acclaimed science centers. As science and technology move faster and faster, globally it becomes challenging for Indian institutions to prepare their students to face the international arena. The school has very effectively played its role of training chemist scientists who are contributing significantly in the development of the state as well as other parts of the country. To prepare trained chemist scientists for highly professional and top positions in academics, drug and pharmaceutical industries, the school is running M.Sc. Chemistry and M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Chemistry along with Ph.D. program. Standards and achievements are impressive for both taught courses as well as research. Their vision is to create an academically sound environment that nurtures, motivates and inspires excellence in research and teaching in chemical sciences along with concern for society.
