Rural Dental College and Hospital was established in 1989, with an intake of 100 B.D.S. students per year. The college has all the specialized dental preclinical and clinical departments as stipulated by Dental Council of India (DCI). The Dental College was affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and University of Pune till it became a constituent unit of this University.
