Pediatric Residency Program

1. Applicants must graduate from a medical school in the United States or Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), or from an appropriately accredited osteopathic medical school.
2. International medical graduates must graduate from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and meet Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification or applicable United States medical licensure requirements.
3. Applicants must satisfy the additional eligibility requirements established by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for Pediatrics.
4. Applicants must meet Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's graduate medical education, credentialing and California postgraduate training requirements.
5. Applicants must submit a complete application with all required supporting documents.
6. Applicants must meet the program's selection and appointment requirements before beginning residency training.

The Pediatrics Residency Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides comprehensive training in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of infants, children and adolescents. Residents gain progressive clinical experience through inpatient and outpatient pediatrics, emergency care, newborn care, intensive care and exposure to pediatric subspecialties. The program emphasizes evidence-based patient care, multidisciplinary collaboration, clinical education, research and professional development. Residents work with diverse pediatric patient populations and develop the skills required for independent pediatric practice or further subspecialty fellowship training.

1. Submit the application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
2. Provide the required application materials, including curriculum vitae, personal statement, medical school transcript, Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE), examination information and letters of recommendation.
3. International medical graduates must provide applicable Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) documentation.
4. The Pediatrics Residency Program reviews applications and selects qualified candidates for interviews.
5. Applicants selected for an interview complete the program's interview and evaluation process.
6. Final selection is conducted through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), followed by Cedars-Sinai credentialing and onboarding requirements. Cedars-Sinai states that its residency programs participate in the National Resident Matching Program where applicable.
