The Otolaryngology Residency is a 5-year, ACGME-accredited residency program offered by the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago. The program provides comprehensive training in the medical and surgical management of disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. Residents gain extensive clinical and operative experience across affiliated hospitals in all major subspecialties, including head and neck surgery, rhinology, otology/neurotology, pediatric otolaryngology, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, laryngology, and sleep surgery. The curriculum integrates hands-on surgical training, structured didactics, multidisciplinary conferences, simulation, and research opportunities to prepare graduates for independent practice or advanced fellowship training.
