The Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program is a 5-year, ACGME-accredited residency offered by the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago. The program provides comprehensive training in the diagnosis and surgical management of musculoskeletal disorders through rotations at multiple affiliated hospitals. Residents gain extensive experience in all major orthopedic subspecialties, including trauma, sports medicine, spine, hand, pediatric orthopedics, joint reconstruction, oncology, and foot and ankle surgery. The curriculum combines hands-on surgical training, structured didactics, simulation, research opportunities, and multidisciplinary conferences to prepare graduates for independent practice or advanced fellowship training.
