Residents rotate across major affiliated institutions including NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan and Westchester Medical Center, where they gain hands-on experience in high-volume trauma centers and advanced surgical facilities. The curriculum integrates clinical training, operating room exposure, anesthesia rotations, intensive care experience, and multidisciplinary surgical collaboration with ENT, plastic surgery, and restorative dentistry teams.
The structured four-year program gradually increases resident responsibility from junior-level hospital orientation and anesthesia training to advanced chief resident surgical leadership roles. Residents participate in emergency facial trauma management, implant surgery, outpatient sedation procedures, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and complex maxillofacial operations.
