The UCLA Neurosurgery Residency Program provides rigorous clinical, academic, research, and technical training in neurosurgery. Residents receive most of their core clinical training at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, supplemented by rotations at four other major hospitals. Training includes early operative exposure with progressively increasing responsibility, covering the broad spectrum of neurosurgical practice. The program includes a dedicated research year, and the seventh year is a Transition to Academic Practice year that can be customized through subspecialty clinical electives, additional research, or an enfolded clinical fellowship.
