The seven-year Neurosurgery Residency Program provides comprehensive training across the full spectrum of adult and pediatric neurosurgery. Residents gain progressive experience in neuro-oncology, cerebrovascular and endovascular surgery, skull-base surgery, functional neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery, neurotrauma, and complex spine surgery. Training occurs at University of Colorado Hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Denver Health, and the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. The curriculum includes a dedicated PGY-5 elective year for research, advanced degrees, or specialized clinical training, followed by chief-resident and transition-to-practice years focused on advanced operative autonomy and career preparation.
