The Neonatal–Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a rigorous three-year ACGME-accredited program designed to prepare pediatricians for leadership in neonatal intensive care. Fellows receive comprehensive training in the management of extremely premature infants and neonates with complex surgical, cardiac, and medical conditions. The curriculum combines high-volume clinical experience with structured education in neonatal physiology, ethics, quality improvement, and patient safety. Dedicated research time allows fellows to pursue scholarly projects under the mentorship of accomplished faculty investigators. Fellows also participate in multidisciplinary conferences, simulation training, and teaching activities that foster professional growth. Graduates are exceptionally well prepared for careers in academic neonatology and specialized neonatal practice.
