Eligibility Criteria

MBBS degree from a recognized institution with NMC / State Medical Council registration.
Completion (or due to complete) of required internship before joining PG program.
Qualify in NEET PG and meet minimum percentile/rank for counselling eligibility (percentile/rank criteria vary by year and category).
Participate in PG counselling (state quota / all-India quota) under relevant authority and seat allotment as per quota / reservation norms.

Minimum Education

CIMS was established in 2016 and is a government medical college located in Yadapura, Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka. The campus spans about 42 acres and is affiliated to RGUHS. The institute offers a variety of PG courses including MS – Otorhinolaryngology, with a sanctioned annual intake of 1 seat for ENT.
The MS–ENT program at CIMS provides postgraduate surgical training in ENT in a full-time format over 3 years. Given that CIMS includes a tertiary-care teaching hospital, students are likely to get exposure to ENT-specific clinical cases — including outpatient ENT disorders, inpatient cases, surgical operations, emergency and routine ENT surgeries, head & neck procedures, diagnostic ENT work, etc. This prepares graduates for careers as ENT surgeons, both in hospitals and private practice, and provides a foundation for further specialization or fellowships in ENT subspecialties.
Given the modest seat count (only 1 seat annually), competition will be high — but as a government institution under RGUHS and NMC, the degree is formally recognized and holds the same regulatory weight as other medical colleges in Karnataka/India.
