MS Orthopedics

The MS – Orthopaedics program at KVG Medical College & Hospital, Sullia is a three-year postgraduate surgical training course designed to develop competent orthopaedic surgeons with strong clinical, diagnostic, and operative skills. The program provides extensive exposure to trauma care, fracture management, joint disorders, spine conditions, and musculoskeletal infections.

Residents receive hands-on training in emergency trauma services, elective orthopaedic surgeries, arthroplasty, fracture fixation, and rehabilitation under the supervision of experienced faculty. The department emphasizes both conservative and operative management approaches, along with pre-operative evaluation and post-operative rehabilitation.

Affiliated with RGUHS and recognized by the NMC, KVG Medical College offers a structured academic environment with regular teaching sessions, seminars, case discussions, audits, and research activities. Graduates of the program are well-prepared for independent orthopaedic practice, hospital appointments, academic roles, or further super-speciality training.

1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution
2. Completion of 1-year compulsory rotating internship
3. Permanent medical registration (State Medical Council / NMC)
4. Qualified NEET-PG examination in the relevant admission year
5. Eligibility as per RGUHS and KEA counselling norms
