1. MBBS degree recognised by the NMC
2. Completed 1-year compulsory internship by the date specified by counselling authorities
3. Permanent registration with the Medical Council of India / National Medical Commission
4. Qualified NEET-PG with a valid score and minimum percentile required for the admission year
5. Fulfil all state counselling and institutional requirements during verification and admission

The M.S. (Ophthalmology) programme at Bhaarath Medical College & Hospital is a comprehensive three-year postgraduate course that prepares doctors to become specialist surgeons in the field of eye care and ocular surgery. The curriculum includes in-depth academic learning and hands-on clinical exposure to diagnose and manage a wide range of eye disorders such as cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, corneal problems, and ocular trauma. Clinical training takes place in outpatient departments (OPDs), inpatient wards, and modern operating theatres, where residents observe and assist in surgeries under supervision. The programme emphasises surgical skills, patient assessment, diagnostic techniques (like slit lamp exam and tonometry), and participation in eye camps or community outreach programmes to promote vision care.
