Minimum Education

Banas Medical College & Research Institute, Palanpur (BMCRI) is a relatively new medical institution (established in 2018) operating under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. It is affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University in Patan, approved by the National Medical Commission.
The MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology program offers clinical training in both obstetrics (prenatal care, labour, delivery, C-section, management of high-risk pregnancies) and gynaecology (surgical and medical management of reproductive health, procedures, disorders).
Students are exposed to both normal and complicated cases, including maternal emergencies, prenatal diagnostics, family planning, neonatal care, and gynaecological surgeries. The program also involves academic components like lectures, seminars, case discussions, and research / thesis work.
BMCRI has a teaching hospital attached, which handles obstetric and gynaecological caseloads sufficient for practical exposure. The learning environment is supported by clinical infrastructure, OPD / ward services, labour and delivery rooms, operation theatres for relevant surgeries.
The annual intake (seats) for MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology at BMCRI Palanpur is 5 seats.
