MS General Surgery

1. MBBS degree from an NMC‑recognized medical college.
2. Completed one‑year compulsory rotating internship.
3. Valid NEET‑PG qualification with rank meeting the cutoff for counseling.
4. Registration (permanent or provisional) with the Medical Council of India / National Medical Commission or respective State Medical Council prior to starting the course.

The MS – General Surgery postgraduate program at ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia, is a comprehensive three‑year clinical degree designed to develop competent surgeons equipped with theoretical knowledge and practical surgical skills. The curriculum integrates in‑depth study of surgical principles, operative techniques, trauma management, wound care, and emergency surgical procedures. Residents receive extensive hands‑on training in surgical wards, operating theatres, and intensive care units under the supervision of experienced faculty.
