1. MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission
2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship by the prescribed cutoff date
3. Valid NEET PG score for the admission year
4. Registration with NMC/State Medical Council
5. Admission through centralized PG medical counseling
6. Fulfillment of category and reservation criteria as applicable

The MS in General Surgery program at MIMER Pune is a structured three-year postgraduate surgical training course designed to develop competent, ethical, and skilled surgeons. The program offers extensive hands-on exposure to elective and emergency surgical procedures through supervised operating theatre work, ward management, outpatient services, and trauma care. Residents are trained in preoperative evaluation, surgical decision-making, operative techniques, and postoperative management. The curriculum follows MUHS and NMC guidelines and includes seminars, journal clubs, morbidity and mortality meetings, research methodology, and completion of a dissertation. Graduates are prepared for independent surgical practice, academic roles, or further super-specialty training.

1. Appear for and qualify NEET PG
2. Register for PG medical counseling through the State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maharashtra) or All India Quota
3. Attend document verification during counseling
4. Complete choice filling and locking for MS General Surgery
5. Seat allotment based on NEET PG rank, category, and preferences
6. Report to MIMER Pune with allotment letter and original documents
7. Pay prescribed fees and complete admission formalities
8. Commence academic session as per MUHS schedule
