Overview
The M.S. (General Surgery) program is a comprehensive surgical training course designed to develop highly competent general surgeons. Over three years, students receive rigorous training in surgical techniques, anatomy, trauma management, oncology, emergency surgery, and post-operative care. They engage in clinical rotations across different surgical departments, attend seminars and case conferences, and participate in hands-on operations under supervision. The curriculum includes theoretical classes, practical surgical training, and research work. As part of the training, residents gain experience in managing both elective and emergency surgical cases, learn pre- and post-operative patient management, and refine their clinical decision-making skills. Graduates are well-prepared for work in hospitals, academic institutions, private practice, or for further specialization into super-specialty surgery (e.g., M.Ch).
