Zydus Medical College & Hospital, Dahod, is a self-financed institution under a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) with the Government of Gujarat, managed by Zydus Foundation, Ahmedabad, and affiliated to Shri Govind Guru University.

The MS General Surgery program has 9 sanctioned seats.

The curriculum over three years provides theoretical knowledge and practical surgical training. This includes exposure to a wide range of surgeries (abdominal, gastrointestinal, trauma, etc.), emergency surgical care, preoperative and postoperative patient management, exposures to subspecialty surgical fields, rounds & case conferences. The associated teaching hospital allows hands-on surgical exposure under supervision. The program aims to develop skilled surgeons capable of operating safely, making sound clinical judgments, and delivering surgical care in diverse settings.

Eligibility

  • Must have an MBBS degree recognised by NMC.
  • Must have completed an internship.
  • Must qualify NEET-PG.
  • Must participate in state counselling (Gujarat NEET-PG) for seat allotments.
  • Category, reservation, quotas, etc., as per state / institutional policy.

Admission Process:

  1. Complete MBBS degree + internship as per NMC requirement.
  2. Register for and appear in NEET-PG in the applicable year.
  3. Obtain rank & qualify as per cutoff through NEET-PG.
  4. Apply / register for the Gujarat state PG medical counselling.
  5. When counselling opens, fill in preferred specialities – select MS General Surgery and rank colleges/preferences.
  6. Seat allotment happens based on NEET-PG rank, category (General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS), seat availability, and quotas.
  7. After seat allotment, complete document verification, pay required fees.
  8. Report to the college, undertake orientation, and begin academic/clinical surgical training.
