1. MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
2. Completed one‑year compulsory rotating internship before admission.
3. Valid NEET‑PG qualification with rank/percentile meeting admission cutoffs.
4. Registration (permanent or provisional) with the National Medical Commission or respective State Medical Council before starting the course.

The MD – Psychiatry program at ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Haldia, is a three‑year postgraduate medical degree designed to train doctors in the understanding and treatment of mental health disorders. The curriculum integrates advanced theoretical knowledge with extensive clinical exposure in psychiatric wards, outpatient clinics, and emergency settings.
