MD Pharmacology

1. MBBS qualification recognized by the National Medical Commission
2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cutoff date
3. Valid NEET-PG qualification for the relevant admission year
4. Permanent or provisional medical registration certificate
5. Fulfilment of counselling authority and institutional admission requirements

The MD – Pharmacology programme at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital provides structured postgraduate training in drug sciences and clinical pharmacology. Residents learn about pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, clinical trials, rational prescribing, and adverse drug monitoring. Training includes laboratory research, experimental pharmacology, and clinical correlation under the guidance of experienced faculty. Academic activities include seminars, journal clubs, case discussions, and dissertation work. 1. Appear for and qualify NEET-PG conducted by the National Board of Examinations
2. Register for postgraduate medical counselling through the designated authority (CENTAC Puducherry / relevant counselling body)
3. Participate in choice filling and locking for MD – Pharmacology
4. Seat allotment based on NEET-PG rank, category, and seat availability
5. Attend document verification with original certificates
6. Pay the prescribed fees to confirm admission
7. Report to the college and complete joining formalities
