MD Pediatrics

The MD Paediatrics program at Mamata Academy of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, provides comprehensive training in child health and pediatric clinical care. The department offers exposure to neonatal care, pediatric emergencies, outpatient and inpatient services, and preventive child health programs. Postgraduate students are trained in the diagnosis and management of common and complex pediatric conditions, including neonatal disorders, infectious diseases, nutritional deficiencies, and developmental problems. The curriculum integrates academic teaching with bedside clinical training, case discussions, seminars, and journal clubs. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, compassionate care, and effective communication with children and families. Research methodology and dissertation work are integral components of the program. The course prepares graduates for independent pediatric practice, subspecialty training, and academic careers.

1. Must possess an MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC)
2. Must have completed compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cutoff date
3. Must qualify NEET-PG in the relevant academic year
4. Must be registered with the State Medical Council / National Medical Commission
5. Admission through centralized counselling conducted by KNRUHS / MCC
