MD Pediatrics

The MD – Paediatrics program at Dr. V.R.K. Women’s Medical College, Teaching Hospital & Research Centre, Aziznagar is a three‑year postgraduate medical course designed to train competent pediatricians able to manage the health needs of infants, children, and adolescents. Students gain thorough academic grounding in pediatric medicine along with extensive clinical exposure through outpatient and inpatient care, neonatal care units (NICU), pediatric emergency services, and growth & development monitoring. The curriculum emphasizes evidence‑based practice, preventive child healthcare, immunization programs, nutritional assessment, and management of both common and complex pediatric conditions. Hands‑on clinical training occurs under the supervision of experienced faculty within the attached teaching hospital, which services a diverse patient population across pediatric specialties. Upon completion, graduates are equipped to pursue advanced clinical practice, teaching, or research roles in pediatrics. The program conforms to the academic standards set by KNRUHS and regulatory guidelines of the National Medical Commission.

1. Must hold a recognized MBBS degree and a valid medical registration certificate issued by the NMC or the relevant State Medical Council.
2. Must have completed the compulsory internship on or before the specified date for admission in the academic year.
3. Must obtain a valid NEET‑PG score and meet minimum percentile/cut‑off requirements (e.g., 50th percentile for general category and relaxed percentiles for reserved categories) in NEET PG.
4. Must participate in the NEET‑PG counselling conducted through KNRUHS.
