Overview

Eligibility

  1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised medical college.
  2. Completion of the compulsory 1‑year internship before commencement of the course.
  3. Permanent medical registration with a State Medical Council.
  4. Qualified NEET‑PG in the relevant admission year.
  5. Submission of required documents (MBBS degree, internship certificate, NEET‑PG scorecard, registration certificate, identity and category certificates) during counselling/admission.

Admission Process:

  1. Qualify NEET‑PG: Sit for and obtain a valid score in the NEET‑PG exam for the admission year.
  2. Register for Counselling: Register on the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) portal or the designated counselling authority for PG admissions.
  3. Fill Choices: Select MD – Paediatrics as a preferred course during choice filling.
  4. Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on NEET‑PG rank, choices, and applicable quotas (state/management/NRI).
  5. Document Verification: Attend verification with original certificates at the counselling centre.
  6. Report to College: Report to KVG Medical College & Hospital with the allotment order and complete admission formalities (fees, documents, registration).
  7. Commence Training: Start the MD – Paediatrics course from the date notified by the institute/NMC.
