The MD – Pathology programme at Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW), Pune is a postgraduate medical course approved by the National Medical Commission and offered as part of the institution’s expanding PG medical education framework from the 2025 academic year onwards. The programme is conducted at the Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre (SUHRC), which provides comprehensive diagnostic laboratory services. Training includes histopathology, cytopathology, hematology, clinical pathology, immunopathology, and transfusion medicine. Residents receive hands-on exposure to modern laboratory techniques, quality assurance systems, and diagnostic reporting.
