Overview

Government Medical College, Ongole, established in 2008, is a government institution affiliated with NTRUHS and recognized by the NMC . The MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology program admits 9 students annually .

 

• The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology offers comprehensive care spanning women’s health—from adolescent through reproductive age—including:
1. High-risk pregnancy management
2. Infertility diagnostics & treatment (IUI, ovulation induction, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy)
3. Cancer screening & Colposcopy
4. Urogynaecology services
5. Emergency and critical care with multidisciplinary support
   Equipped with modern facilities like 3D ultrasound with Doppler, video colposcopes, hysteroscopes, laparoscopy units, urodynamic machines, and fetal autopsy capabilities, the department supports excellence in both clinical care and postgraduate training . Faculty includes a Professor & HOD, plus multiple Associate and Assistant Professors, ensuring quality education and supervision

Eligibility

MBBS degree recognized by NMC

Completed one-year internship

NEET-PG qualified

Participation in counselling (AIQ via MCC or State Quota via NTRUHS)

Document verification, including NEET-PG scorecard, MBBS transcripts, internship certificate, identity proof, etc.
