MD Microbiology

1. Must hold an MBBS degree recognized by the NMC/National Medical Commission.
2. Completed compulsory rotating internship prior to the start date.
3. Valid NEET‑PG qualification with a suitable rank/percentile.
4. Registration (permanent or provisional) with the Medical Council of India / NMC or respective State Medical Council before admission.

The MD – Microbiology program at ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Haldia, is a three‑year postgraduate medical degree that prepares doctors to become specialists in clinical and medical microbiology. Throughout the program, students gain deep knowledge of microbial structure, genetics, pathogenesis, immunology, and the laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases. 1. Qualify NEET‑PG: Appear in and qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET‑PG).
2. Register for Counseling: Register through the designated counseling authority (e.g., West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) or national/state PG counseling).
3. Choice Filling & Seat Allotment: Choose preferred colleges/specialties and obtain a seat based on NEET‑PG rank and reservation category.
4. Document Verification: Attend document verification with NEET‑PG scorecard, MBBS degree certificate, internship completion proof, and identity/category documents.
5. Fee Payment & Reporting: Pay the required fees and report to the institute by the specified date to complete the admission process.
