Overview
The M.D. in General Medicine program at AIMSRC is a comprehensive three-year postgraduate course under RGUHS, approved by NMC. Students undergo rigorous academic training combined with extensive clinical exposure in a multi-specialty hospital attached to the institute. The curriculum includes theory classes, clinical rotations across various internal medicine subspecialties (ICU, emergency medicine, general wards), regular seminars, case discussions, journal clubs, Continuing Medical Education (CME), and hands-on skill training at the institute’s advanced learning facilities. The hospital infrastructure supports diverse departments and diagnostic services, ensuring residents get practical exposure to a wide variety of patient cases — acute, chronic, emergency and routine. Research and academic growth are encouraged through departmental projects and opportunities for publication. The program aims to produce competent general physicians capable of functioning in tertiary care hospitals, community health settings, or to take up further specialization.
