    The MD in General Medicine at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) is designed to produce highly skilled physicians capable of handling a wide range of adult medical conditions. FAAMCH, established in 2011 and affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Eligibility

    • MBBS degree recognized by NMC (formerly MCI).
    • Completion of 1-year rotating internship.
    • Permanent/provisional registration with State Medical Council/NMC.
    • Qualified in NEET-PG examination.
    • Participation in state counselling (Assam DME) or All India Quota counselling (MCC).

Admission Process:

  • Central Admission process by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), based on NEET PG entrance exam merit list. The MCC will publish the seat matrix, online application dates & deadlines and allotment schedule on its official website, for different admission round for 50% seats of MD/MS/Diploma courses through out India. The remaining 50% seats will be allotted through State Admission Counselling process. After online seat allottment, candidates need to report with required documents at their alloted institute within a given timeframe, failing which will null & void the alloted seat and it will be filled in next allotment round.
