The MD in General Medicine at Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) is designed to produce highly skilled physicians capable of handling a wide range of adult medical conditions. FAAMCH, established in 2011 and affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The program emphasizes evidence-based medicine, clinical reasoning, and patient-centered care. With a well-equipped teaching hospital offering inpatient, outpatient, and critical care facilities, postgraduate students gain extensive hands-on exposure. The Department of Medicine at FAAMCH conducts regular ward rounds, seminars, case discussions, and research activities to strengthen academic and clinical expertise.
